Spreading Awareness for a Healthy and Safe Future-

The Health Department of Leh under the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) visited Jamyang School, Leh on 25th October, 2025 to conduct an awareness programme on the causes and consequences of drug use, tobacco consumption, and anxiety among students.


In addition to this, at the school level, the Health and Wellness Team organized an awareness session on “Safe Touch and Bad Touch”, guiding students on how to identify and respond to such situations at a young age. The session also featured an insightful presentation by the School Principal on Bullying at a young age, its types, and effective ways to prevent and address it.


Furthermore, the Health Department team, along with the students and staff, took a pledge to stay away from tobacco and harmful substances. The students and the staff also took a march a small rally within the school campus raising the slogan “Say No to Tobacco”, reinforcing the importance of living a healthy and drug-free life.


The entire programme aimed to create awareness, responsibility, and resilience among students for a safe, healthy, and positive future.
